The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce awarded Laura Goral, Beaver Dam ReStore Manager and Playground Movement Founder, the Innovative Business/Organization of the Year Award for 2022! Goral’s commitment to the community was recognized at the event which honored her work with the Playground Movement and the Madison Street ReStore in Beaver Dam.
In addition to her efforts to keep trash out of landfills each year by accepting donations to the ReStore and giving them a second life, Goral has food available on shelves in the store and refrigerators on the property for families who need it. Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties has also taken steps to provide solar panels for the rooftop of the ReStore located at 1022 Madison Street in Beaver Dam.
This spring, Goral is leading the affiliate’s first Rock the Block on Saturday, May 14th! This event will provide volunteer opportunities to people in the community to spend the day making beautification changes to Madison street for families in need.
